Rules and Punishments

Rule One:

I want to see the strongest teams being played and no match fixing,

Punishment:

I guess there's no particular punishment that would be worse than wasting your own PTs by playing a weaker team however if you purposefully lose a game in order to specifically help another team qualify both teams caught in the scandal will be disqualified and two other highest ranked teams will be move on to the Knockout rounds instead.

Rule Two:

Have fun and enjoy a friendly competition and don't be mean,

Punishment:

I'm not going to punish you if you're not having fun (but if you're not having fun I would love to hear feedback). Managers will be punished however if they are a nuisance to the other managers around them socially and are ruining the atmosphere via trolling and being argumentative, you will get a warning if that is the case, after that I'll simply not welcome you to the next edition of the Over The Moon competition. Rivalries are welcome and rubbing your results in people's faces will be accepted but being a loud, obnoxious, numpty won't be accepted.

Rule Three:

Don't be impatient with the competition director,

Punishment:

Well considering I am the competition director and I'm creating this tournament out of free-will and giving prizes from my very own PTs I'm hoping people do not get impatient with me as I didn't have to make this competition. However if you are impatient with me and approach me rudely about it I will not be happy and you will get punished with a frowny face, be friendly and nice and I'll be much more understanding. Thank you.

Structure

When the sign up deadline each year is called that's it. You cannot join the competition if you've missed it. Deadline date will be called a week beforehand so there's no reason to miss it.

During the gap between the Deadline (called on Thursdays) and the Live Group Draw (the very next Saturday) geoclphredux will plan out the competition's format. It will have to change between seasons due to varying participant numbers but will have some permanent values:

Firstly, each competition will have a Group Stage to Knockout Stage structure. The Group Stages will be referred to as the Qualifiers and the Knockouts will be referred to as the Finals.

Secondly, the Finals will only have a maximum of 16 teams, there will be less qualifiying positions depending on the number of participants.

32 or more (limited to 100) participants there will be 16 Finalists,

16 to 31 participants there will be 8 Finalists,

Any less and I'll discuss the future of the tournament in the forums.

Thirdly, Pots will be used in the Live Group Draw in order to keep Qualifiers balanced. Here's how the Pots will be collected:

Teams are put in order by the manager's ranking.

Pot 1: Will have the strongest teams, the size of the pot will be half the size of definate qualifying places.

Pot 2: Will feature competitive teams, the size of the pot will be the size of potential qualifying places

Pot 3: Will feature remaining teams, the rest of the teams will enter here unless there is an uneven number of teams per group. Then Pot 4 is also added.

Pot 4: Will only be featured if the groups are uneven due to the number of participants and will hold the underdogs to be put in the groups with a bigger number of teams.

Prizes

Every participant will get their team mentioned in The UKI Zone.

Winners of each group do automatically earn one trophy from MZ that’ll help managers get closer to earning the Champion Club Member badge; The Champion of the Knockouts gets an additional one too.

A number of the teams on top of their groups get their entrance fee back in order to enter the Knockouts, 1st place of each group gets 5PTs additionally though.

Runner up gets 10PTs.

The Champion of the Tournament gets 20PTs and a Banner of Victory to show off in their WFO.
